(Boney Bindra) As per latest satellite images of Punjab, the paddy stubble cases have folded four times in last six days compared to the cases of this whole season.
The various governments of Northern India are trying to stop farmers from burning the stubble of the crops.
But from the looks of it we can say that is not happening anytime sooner.
Although as per reports the numbers are still lower than last year but the farmers were till now busy in selling their harvest and now are heading back to fields, hence the alarmingly rising numbers.
Earlier, Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal like every year blamed the worsening air quality in the capital to farmers of Punjab and Haryana, left the Amarinder Singh government as satellite images showed a huge jump in fire incident.
The air quality index of Delhi recently was clocked on 367 (very poor) when the Punjab’s index was lower at 155, moderate.
Till October 22 from September 27 the officially registered cases were 3228 which were handed a boost in last six years, 12,776 were registered.
Chief Minister’s own city Patiala (1,457 Cases) is violating the law more than any other city just behind Tarn Taran district (1,593).
According to the government to control this menace CM Captain’s government till now has claimed to have supplied as many as 24,315 agro-machines to farmers.
But, ground reality is painting a totally different picture.
