The Legislative Council approved the provision of fast track courts for early justice to the victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide.
A motion for the fast track courts and the creation of a law for such horrendous humanitarian crimes was read by Aam Aadmi Party MLA Jarnail Singh.
Jarnail Singh, while describing the demand for withdrawal of Bharat Rattan from Rajiv Gandhi in his own resolution in the Delhi Assembly, said, “This thing was not included in the original resolution, any other legislator gave this suggestion to them, agreeing with it included in the resolution read in it.

He said, “Media and political leaders are pushing out the big and main points of the resolutions aside, whereas the main thing is that the Delhi Assembly has recognized this massacre as the most horrific genocide so far”.
It has been decided by the Delhi Assembly that the Delhi government will pressure the Ministry of Home Affairs to make laws for such crimes.
