Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s member and Shiromani Akali Dal’s non-Punjabi star campaigner, Manjinder Singh Sirsa today slapped a person guilty of killing a Sikh during 1984 Sikh genocide.
Police was actually taking back the guilty two back to the jail, when Sirsa attacked Yashpal Singh and slapped him hard.
After a little fight, police managed to break two while pushing back the SAD/BJP leader.
Sirsa after the attack said, “They killed innocent people in 1984 but still they are roaming the streets as goons.”
Referring to the horrific incident of ’84 pogrom, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “They were raising slogans that they will ensure we remembered the 1984 riots.”
As of now, Delhi police have declared no legal action against the Akali leader.
Inside the court, the Patiala House Court’s, Additional Sessions Judge Ajay Pandey reserved the quantum of sentence until 20th of November.
Two, Naresh Sherawat and Yashpal Singh yesterday were declared guilty for killing two Sikh youths Hardev Singh and Avtar Singh, on November 1st, 1984.
This slap can be interpreted as an excellent political stunt because the Member Parliament elections are due in India for next year and there are good chances that Sirsa would be contesting in them from any seat of Delhi.
