As the name suggests Punjabi film, ‘Dastaan-E-Miri Piri’ will showcase the history of Miri Piri.

Based on 1604, this film is dedicated to the martyrdom of fifth Sikh Guru Arjun Dev and how sixth Guru Hargobind Sahib wore two swords of Miri and Piri, symbolizing both worldly (political) and spiritual authority to fight against the torments of the Mughal Empire.

On the Shaheedi Diwas of the fifth guru of Sikh religion Shri Guru Arjun Dev, Chharampeer productions and White Hill Studios are set to release their animated film to dedicate to the martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev.

Recently, the makers have launched the music of the film titled ‘Dastaan-E-Miri Piri’.

Vinod Lanjewar has helmed this animated film and Gurjot Singh Ahluwalia has written the story and assisted the director as well.

Dr. I.S. Guguani handled the research whereas Sagar Kotikar and Sahni Singh have written the screenplay.

Kuljit Singh has given the music of the film and the background score by Anamik Chauhan.

Dilraj Singh Gill, Major Singh Sandhu, and Navdeep Kaur Gill produce the entire project, and Brumha Studios has taken care of the animation.

The film is co-produced by Noblepreet Singh, Manmohat Singh Marshal and Balraj Singh.

Bollywood actor Raza Murad has landed his background voice. Bollywood singer Kailash Kher has voiced the movie’s title track.

The 3-D animated film ‘Dastaan-E-Miri Piri’ will hit the theatres on 5 June 2019.
