During the second day of the ongoing budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, as the Question Hour begun, along with opposition some of the ruling Congress’ MlAs also cornered Congress and the house saw some significant friendly fire.
Former minister and Congress MLA Rana Gurjeet Singh even said that the Captain Amarinde Singh government is behaving like a wet nurse with the Doaba region of Punjab.
Rana made this comment when the PWD and IT minister Vijay Inder Singla was answering the question raised by MLA Gurpartap Singh Bdala that there is a proposal to widen the Kapurthala road to Phillaur.
In reply to this, the minister said that there is no proposal to widen the road, but 17.71 kilometer stretch of 66.20 kilometer road of Phillaur-Nakodar-Kapurthala is being repaired.
This is not the first time Congress’ MLA has opened friendly fire.
