Ranjeev Sangha

Surrey: The Punjabi world suffered a huge loss when news of the murder of Ranjeev Sangha of Surrey came.

Ranjeev has been shot dead by unidentified attackers on November 26 at about 11:46 am, in the 5400-block of 146 Street, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).

41-year-old Sangha was ‘well-known for promoting Bhangra,’ a popular and traditional Punjabi dance, in the community.

Sangha’s family, friends and loved ones are in shock. One of his long-time friends, Gurp Sian said, “It doesn’t make sense for something like this to happen to a guy like Ranjeev.”

According to police, Sangha was pronounced dead at the scene.

The attackers immediately fled after the killing in a four-door Sedan of black colour.

About an hour later, that black car was found burning approximately 100m off of the Cambie Road pedestrian path.

Also, IHIT believes that the killing of Ranjeev Sangha was targeted and is still working to determine the motive behind the murder.

In light of the incident, the phone number 1877-551-4448 has been issued by IHIT so that anyone can share any information in this regard.
