The equity benchmark indexes opened trade session on a red note on Thursday along with negative global cues. At 10:41 am, the broader Nifty index of the NSE (National Stock Exchange) was at 10091.80, with a low of 132.95 points or 1.30%.
The S&P BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) Sensex traded low at 458.84 points or 1.35% to mark 33575.12.
Prominent losers in the 50-share Nifty pack were Bharti Airtel, Induslnd Bank, IndiaBulls Housing Finance, Hindalco and Yes Bank.
Top Laggards on the 30-share index Sensex were Infosys, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, Wipro and Vedanta.
Meanwhile, the domestic stock market closed on a green note on Wednesday.
The S&P BSE Sensex climbed up 186 points to recover the 34,000 mark, which for the first time sensex lost in the last six months the previous day.
While the NSE Nifty50 ended high at 77 points to settle at 10,224.
