Sukhbir Singh Badal was in Amrtisar today to offer his prayer at Golden Temple, where, as per Badal he prayed for the families of ’84 Sikh genocide.
The junior Badal was circled by media personnel when he was coming out of the Guru-Ghar. Talking to media here Badal jabbing a thinly veiled jab on PPCC indicated that Congress is an anti-Sikh party.
“What they did to the history books and with the Sikh history is unacceptable and unthinkable, Congress has distorted the history like an enemy would do,” claimed Sukhbir Badal.
Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab raised the question that why was the history books were changed when the state has been reading the same stories from last two decades.
Sukhbir comparing Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee to “fierce enemies of Sikhs, Mughals” announced that, Congress following a strategy did this all, they have done it just like Mughals.
This can be seen as one of those old weapons of Shiromani Akali Dal in which they corner out Congress from the power by tagging it as Anti-Sikh party.
We all knows that after the infamous Bargabdi and Behebal Kalan incidents the license of being a Sikh party kind of broke off.
The whole historic distortion thing is a good chance for a trembling Shiromani Akali Dal to grasp onto something to hold its grounds in these extreme political conditions.
