Known for his outspoken nature and his stubbornness, Sukhpal Singh Khaira likes to have it fun, when it comes to speaking against the authority.
Yet again, the suspended AAP Punjab’s leader has something to say and this time on his target is the army chief of India.
The previous Leader of Opposition of Punjab, when asked about the Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat’s remarks on Punjab state, he said, “Atmosphere of the border states like Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab is being spoiled keeping next year’s elections in mind.”
Khaira had some strong words for the Indian Army Chief. He said,” Commenting on the internal security is the responsibility of government not of the Army Chief.”
Reminding Rawat how things work in the country Khaira said, “Intelligence agencies and the state security forces are here for Punjab.”
Some days back the Army Chief of India, General Bipin Rawat made a claim in media that some anti-national and anti-social elements with the help of “external linkage” are attempting to revitalize the dark era of militancy in the state of Punjab.
