Alberta has invited 375 candidates in Express Entry with Comprehensive Ranking System scores as low as 400 to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada’s permanent residence.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is a part of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In it, participating provinces and territories are allowed to nominate an allotted number of Economic-Class immigration candidates each year for Canada’s permanent residence.
PNP with Express entry system manages a pool of candidates for three main skilled worker immigration programs – Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Federal Skilled Worker Class.
Additionally, it does not requires candidates to have a job offer in Alberta, but having one may increase the chances of a candidate being invited.
According to CIC news, the Alberta Express Entry Stream allows the AINP to search the federal Express Entry pool for skilled foreign workers with strong ties to Alberta or who are working in an occupation that supports the province’s economic development and diversification priorities.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score has increased to 400 in AINP’s September 25 selection round.
