Bargari Sacrilege Accused Murdered In Patiala Jail, High Alert In Punjab
Bargari sacrilege case prime accused and a Dera Sacha Sauda follower Mohinder Pal Bittu was murdered in the Nabha’s maximum security jail. In June 2018, Bittu was arrested by a special investigation team (SIT). Nabha Jail ADJP (Additional director of police)Rohit Choudhary said that he got a call from jail around 5:20 am and got the information that Dera Sacha Sauda sect was attacked in by two inmates with an iron rod in the jail and was taken to a hospital in a serious state. In the wake of the murder, the Punjab Police have stepped up security cordon around the Kotkapura Dera, 50 km from Patiala. 48-year-old, Mohinder Pal Singh Bittoo, was attacked by Gursewak Singh and Maninder Singh, who were in jail in a murder case. On the other hand, Bittu’s son, Raminder alleged that his father has been murdered under a conspiracy. Many people said that my father already feared that he might get attacked. Raminder held police responsible for his father’s murder as he further alleged that this incident happened due to negligence of the district administration as Bittu was not given full required security.
