Ottawa – The Canadian government has opened its doors for more than 40,000 immigration applicants in the first month of the year.
The Canadian government has invited 331,000 new permanent residents in 2019.
The government’s goal is to call 341,000 immigrants by 2020 and 350,000 by 2021 – about 1% of Canada’s population.
In addition, the target of government is to welcome 1 million immigrants to Canada by the end of 2021.
However, the month of January saw Canadian government open its door for over 40,000 applicants through through key economic immigration and family sponsorship programs.
For Canada’s new three-year immigration levels plan, economic immigration and family sponsorship both are essential components.
A 1% immigration rate is deemed crucial for ensuring the sustained growth of Canada’s economy and labour force in the coming years.
