Canadian couple raises 803 kg pumpkin, won millions in the competition
The ‘Pumpkin Competition’ (Pumpkin Fest) is held every year in Canada.
This year too, the Port Elgin Pumpkinfest was held in Port Elgin village in Bruce County, in which people arrived with hundreds of kilograms of pumpkin.

A Candian couple named Phil and Jane Hunt knows what it takes to grow a big pumpkin.
The Canadian couple Cameron’s Jane & Phil Hunt won the competition by bringing the largest pumpkin.
The moment Jane & Phil introduced a 1771.5 lbs. (803.54 kg) pumpkin in the competition left many eyes open wide.
At the end of the event, owners of the 803.54 kg pumpkin were awarded a cash prize of Rs 1.60 lakh for bringing the biggest pumpkin.
Phil said his family has been growing giant pumpkins since 1992.
Explaining how Jane Hunt grew such a giant pumpkin, he said it takes a lot of care to ensure it doesn’t grow too fast.
Phil first planted the pumpkin seeds later and adequately added vermicompost and earthworm manure and took care of the pumpkin continuously.
According to reports, in 1990, the couple participated in a competition, in which large vegetables were introduced in size.
After that, Phil became obsessed with growing big vegetables.
