CM Releases Book named ‘A Tryst with Royalty – The Hidden Corners of Jind State’, highlights the history, religion and culture of Jind State.
Penned by Rajeev Jindal, the book focuses on Jind State’s administration, education, army, police, public health and transportation systems.
Besides family members of the author, the Punjab Local Bodies Minister Brahm Mohindra and former MLA Surinderpal Singh Sibia attended the launch event.
Jind State was a part of Phulkian Misl, one of the 12 misls of Punjab, who had established a strong kingdom in Punjab, even when the foreign rule flourished.
Jindal has tried to reach every unknown fact of the state and discovered its rich legacy.
The author of ‘A Tryst with Royalty – The Hidden Corners of Jind State’ Rajeev Jindal is a social worker, critic and a historian, known for his book on Punjab’s lesser-known area, Sangrur, which was the erstwhile capital of Jind State – “Sanghar toh Sangrur”.
