Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on rebuked Pakistan’s Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry for his remarks on the Indian Army.
In his tweet, the Pakistani minister for science and technology fired a provocative tweet on the Indian Army.
The Pak minister appealed to the Sikhs serving in the Indian Army to “deny duty in Kashmir”.
The statement from the Pak minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry appealed was in both Punjabi and English languages.
In response, Amarinder Singh fired back a tweet and asked Chaudhary not to interfere in India’s internal matter.
Singh, who served in the Indian Army in the 1960s, told the Minister in the Imran Khan-led government that his provocative statement will not work.
Punjab CM wrote, “Stop trying to interfere in India’s internal matter. And let me tell you that the Indian Army is a disciplined and nationalist force, unlike your Army @fawadchaudhry. Your provocative statement will not work, nor will the Soldiers in our Army follow your divisive diktats.”
Further, AAP MLA Manjinder S Sirsa too took to Twitter to and wrote to Chaudhry, “Ch Fawad Hussain… just because u write a tweet in Punjabi doesn’t make you a well-wisher! You have hurt Punjabis with your words because we all are known to be true patriots and unwavering sentinels of India,” he wrote.
