REPUBLIC DAY OR INDEPENDENCE DAYThis is the last thing Bollywood actress Esha Gupta would have hoped for! Esha Gupta was in for some trolling on Twitter when she wished her followers a happy Republic Day instead of Independence Day. Naturally, users of the social media website spotted the error quickly and each began pulling Esha’s leg for the mistake. Here is how some fans reacted:
Madam aaj Gandhi Jayanti hai!— Akshay | ಅಕ್ಷಯ | अक्षय (@AkshayKatariyaa) August 15, 2019
I tried to look twice to see if you really wished Republic day on 15th August but I was afraid that you'll sue me for staring at your post and make you uncomfortable. 🙄— SubbuS (@Subbu_06) August 15, 2019
However, the errant Independence Day greeting was not the only odd tweet to be posted from Esha’s account. A series of odd tweets followed. Later, the mess ended after the former Miss India took to Twitter to inform her friends and fans that her account has been hacked and the random tweets were being posted not be Gupta or her team but the hacker(s). In a recent update, Gupta took to social media and posted “Account hacked please don’t open or respond to Dm through this account”. Further, Esha gave a disclaimer to her fans and wrote, “ACCOUNT HACKED.. please don’t open any link in your dm from my account… it’s a spam.”

In the end, Esha recovered her account and expressed her gratitude to her Instagram fans who informed her regarding the odd activities on her twitter handle.
Account hacked please don’t open or respond to any DM through this account. Thanks— Esha Gupta (@eshagupta2811) August 15, 2019
Not just, she recovered her account, but Esha had a befitting reply for the trollers too. Esha got back at the trollers like a boss and said: “Happy Independence Day.. (thanks for telling an airforce daughter that she knows otherwise) y’all troller are too much.”
Finally got the account back in order. Thanks to a lot of people who informed me on IG. (P.S-don’t change your password if you get a mail about any suspicious activity on twitter and asks you to change the password as that can lead to hacking).— Esha Gupta (@eshagupta2811) August 15, 2019
Bollywood celebs are prone to cybercrime. Recently Adnan Swami, Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter handles were hacked and objectionable tweets were made.
Happy Independence Day.. (thanks for telling an airforce daughter that she knows otherwise😂) y’all troller are too much🙏🏽— Esha Gupta (@eshagupta2811) August 15, 2019
