“I don’t understand why Kanwar Sandhu did that?” Phoolka

During the Budget session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, MLA H. S.  Phoolka’s resolution regarding the elections of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, which was passed by the Punjab government, erupted quite a controversy.

The resolution was passed by majority voices but there were some people who were opposing the resolution along with Shiromani Akali Dal members, as per Harvinder, this voice was of Phoolka’s previous colleague, and MLA from Kharar, Kanwar Sandhu.

Clearly, Phoolka wasn’t ready for it and eventually was deeply hurt by this “political betrayal”. He said that the resolution was very important, it was so important that Chief Minister himself said that he will take the resolution and go to the Center.

He said that he regretted that his colleagues (Kanwar Sandhu) opposed the resolution and did not stand with him on this vital issue of Punjab and Sikhs.

Phoolka said that he did not expect this to happen. He said, “I do not understand why Kanwar Sandhu did that”.
