#KalankReview : Another Fat Budget Movie with Varun’s Bad Acting

Karan Johar’s multi starrer movie Kalank has been released in theaters today and as expected we are here again to tell you all about it. Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapoor are in the lead role. Main highlight of the film is that after 21 years, Madhuri and Sanjay will be seen together in this film. Based on the love story of Roop (Aliya Bhatt) and Zafar (Varun Dhawan), this movie as was expected from the trailers, is a big time drama.

In ‘Kalank’ the story of a united family has been shown within which many secrets are buried, the set up of the movie is pre-independence. The story of the film revolves around Zafar and Roop’s romance whose love remains buried under a Hindu and Muslim wall. Roop the character played by Alia decides to marry Dev Chaudhary (Aditya Roy Kapoor) who is already married to Satya (Sonakshi Sinha). Story somewhat also touches the boundaries of love-Jihaad which was much expected keeping the communal air blowing around in the country in mind. You need to watch the movie to know the rest of story.

Famous director Abhishek Varman has directed his movie very beautifully. The dialogues in the movie are quite good. Karan Johar has produced the film and as per media reports he had dreamed of making this movie 15 years ago. The film has been made with a big budget, so in this case, makers must have been expecting better earnings from this movie.

Movie’s music is composed by the musical duo of Balhara and Preetam. So far all the songs from the movie have been released, which is well received by the audience. And yes, Varun Dhawan’s acting was horrific in this movie; one may also call him just an eye-candy.
