Khaira, who has always been an advocate of raising people’s issues in Vidhan Sabha, ironically and surprisingly took high route and decided to bunk the most important session of the year, budget session. Sukhpal’s haters are of the view that Khaira bunked the session because he was afraid that Speaker of the house, Rana KP Singh might have handed the summons him, seeking clarification about his possible sacking out of the house. The Vidhan Sabha has issued a notice to Khaira asking for reasons why his MLAship must not be canceled, while Khaira is still claiming no notice. On the other end of this deal, Khaira claimed in a recent interview that he has not received any notice from Speaker and now tomorrow on 7th March he will meet the Speaker himself and explain why he is not leaving the MLA despite resigning. Khaira has claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party wants to withdraw him from the Assembly with the feeling of hate, but he will not let this attempt to succeed. If Khaira will remain a legislator or not? shall be cleared after March 7, but in this period Khaira is also preparing to fight for the Member Parliament seat. Singh opening about his this wish he indicated that in 2019 elections he would contest from Bathinda seat against Harsimrat Badal. Interestingly, Sukhpal Khaira has resigned from the basic membership of the party on January 6, after which the legislative membership of Khaira’s is in danger.
