What ₹1700 for 2 boiled eggs??
Just a month after Chandigarh’s JW Marriott Hotel charged two bananas for ₹442, a similar incident took place at Mumbai’s Four Seasons Hotel.
High-end Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai charged ₹1700 for 2 boiled eggs to a Twitter user.
Posting a bill on Twitter, Kartik Dhar captioned, “2 eggs for Rs 1700 at the @FourSeasons Mumbai.”

Along with the bill, Dhar tagged actor Rahul Bose saying, “Bhai Aandolan Karein (Shall we protest)?”
In fact, two omelettes cost the same price in the bill posted by the author of ‘All The Queen’s Men’, Dhar.
However, the hotel is still to comment on this.
“Is ande ke sath Sona bhi nikla hai kya (Did the hen hatch gold with the eggs)?” posted one user.
Is ande ke sath Sona bhi nikla hai kya?

I think they should charge MRP only. I'm willing to bring salt, oil and pepper from home. Even pay 5 rupees for gas cost. 🤣

Last month, Bollywood actor Rahul Bose tweeted a bill of staggering ₹ 442, including GST for two bananas by JW Marriott Hotel in Chandigarh.
To which, the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) said that the hotel did nothing “illegal”.
However, a show-cause notice was served to the hotel.
On violating the provisions of its HSN/Chapter 803, the Chandigarh Excise and Taxation Department slapped ₹ 25,000 penalty for levying GST on two bananas.
