Pakistan seems to be overturning its statement on the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor.
Pak said that no date for the inauguration of the much-awaited Kartarpur corridor had been decided yet.
Earlier, Pakistan had assured that it would be open “on time” on occasion in view of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
A senior official associated with this project had said to allow Indian Sikhs pilgrims to travel from November 9.
Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal said that the Kartarpur Corridor would be completed in time as promised by Prime Minister Imran Khan. It will be inaugurated on time. But he cannot tell any date because it is not been fixed so far.

However, Mohammad Faisal expressed confidence that the corridor will be opened on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 12.
In his address, Faisal also said that Pakistan has formally invited India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the inaugural ceremony.
The Kartarpur corridor is being built by India and Pakistan in Pakistan’s Kartarpur and connects to Dera Baba Nanak shrine in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab.
Kartarpur corridor aims at facilitating visa-free movement of Indian pilgrims who will just need a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib located across the Ravi river, about four km from the Dera Baba Nanak shrine.Get Breaking news and Latest News from India and around the world on GlobalPunjabTV.in.
