P.V. Sindhu loses to Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in Indonesia Open Final

Shutter PV Sindhu of India lost to Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi Indonesia Open BWF Tour Super 1000-tournament finals in Jakarta on Sunday. The tournament took place at Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 21. Star badminton player of India, Sindhu listed to the runner-up finish after losing 15-21, 16-21 to the fourth seed. This was the fifth loss of Sindu to Yamaguchi in 15 meetings. After, clinching the titles at Asian Championship and German Open, it was Yamaguchi’s third title of the season. Last year, India lost to Japanese at All England Championship semifinals. However, this was the best performance of the season for the world number five Indian, who reached the semifinals of India Open and Singapore Open in 2019.
