Punjab Road To Be Named After Fatehveer- Captain Amarinder Singh

Conceding to the request of people of Bhaghwanpura Tehsil ,Sangrur and the family of the deceased, Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, has given approval to name the Sunam Sheron Kainchian to Shero Longowal Road after late Fatehveer Singh. 2-Year-Old, Fatehveer, who lost life in the most unfortunate borewell tragedy is consider ‘as a special case’ by the government. Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, PWD Minister Punjab accompanied by Ghanshyam Thori,Deputy Commissioner Sangrur, President District Congress Committee Rajinder Singh Raja and Daman Bajwa paid a visit to the family on behalf of Chief Minister. Expressing solidarity with the family, they assured all support and help to them. The officials apprised Fatehveer’s family that yielding to their request and giving due honor to the untimely demise of the little soul, State Government has agreed to name the said road after him. This is Other District Road (ODR-01) with an approximate length of 11.83 km and is being widened from 5.50 meters to 7.0 metres under C.R.F.scheme. Later, Singla informed that a written request in this context was made to the State Government by the family of the deceased, through the office of Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur.
