The domestic stock markets opened on a flat note on Thursday’s trading session ahead of Reserve Bank of India meeting.
In the early trade, the Sensex index of Bombay Stock Exchange rose 27.11% to 38,904.23, and the Nifty50 barometer of NSE gained by 16.25 points to hit 11,660.20.
At 9:34 am, the BSE Sensex traded at 38,903.32, with a gain of 26.20 points or 0.07%, while the NSE Nifty50 was at 11,653.65, up 9.70 points or 0.08%.
Bharti Airtel, Asian Paint, Power Grid, and Hero Moto Corp were the top gainers on the Sensex pack, trading between 1.14% and 2.64% higher.
Headed by the RBI governor, the six-member Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) began its 3-day review on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the 30-share Sensex finished 0.46% or 180 points lower at 38,877 and the broader Nifty nosedived 0.59% or 69 points at settle at 11,644.
