Baba Hari Singh Randhawa is a preacher and wrote the ‘steek’ (translation with meaning) of Guru Granth Sahib after 10 years of dedicated service.

Gurpreet Singh Randhawa filed a defamation complaint against Dhadrianwale in the court of Fatehgarh Sahib Judicial Magistrate.

The former SGPC member said that he, his father and their followers were hurt due to derogatory remarks of Bhai Dhadruwale, who has a large number of followers on social media, Randhawa added.

However, Dhadrianwale claimed that he had only made a point, as some Sikh preachers want to mislead masses about Sikhism.

Dhadrianwale is not new to controversy. Earlier Damdami Taksal chief Harnam Singh Dhumma had got into a conflict with him over the difference in ideology about the narration of Sikh history and interpretation of Gurbani.

On May 17, 2016, an attempt was also made on his life.
