Haryana School Education Board has made sit-ups mandatory during the morning assembly, calling it ‘super brain yoga.’
State School Education Board announced the pilot project on Thursday.
As a part of the school board’s pilot project, students would have to do 14 sit-ups every day.
Talking to reports, Education Board Secretary Rajeev Kumar said, “Students will do sit-ups with hands on their ears during the morning assembly. This will sharpen their brain and help in retainment of the memory.”
The pilot project would firstly kick-start in Bhiwani district’s Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan School.
Students will perform ‘Super yoga for brain’ after the school reopens on Monday.
Rajeev Kumar added, “This will not be levied as a punishment. It is super brain yoga. It has been scientifically proven that it increases brain efficiency.”
